I was born in a cicada year, crossed an ocean for the first time at 2 months old, and, according to my parents, loved to turn pages of books long before I learned to read. I started writing late–at 19–but I’m learning a lot and hope to earn my MFA in Creative Writing & the Publishing Arts in 2013.
These days, I write short fiction, poetry and essays, work for a church and a publishing vendor, and make time here and there for wedding planning (!). I’ve also done freelance writing and editing for several companies and sites:
Words & Numbers in Baltimore, MD
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Hyattsville, MD
The Canary Review
Dumb Little Man
